Cambodian Genocide

This genocide was known as the saddest episode of Cambodian history and certainly one of the greatest tragedies in the history of mankind.

The Communist Party of Kampuchea (CPK), also known as the Khmer Rouge was lead by Saloth Sar,was also known as Pol Pot. The genocide occurred when Pol Pot led the communist forces of the Khmer Rouge into the capital city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 17 April 1975. He was in power from 1975-1079.

While the Khmer Rouge was in Power, they set up policies that disregarded human life and massacres on a huge scale. They turned towns and cities into a detention center, which later gave a massive graveyard for almost two millions Cambodians, including their own members and even some senior leaders
